A Tasty Dip

I’m sure that many of you will be looking for something a little bit different to do on Boxing Day. The Lions Club of Llandudno host an annual event: Llandudno Lions Dip. A dip in the sea on Boxing Day. Lovely. There are prizes for the best fancy dress costume plus a Grand Prize Raffle Draw. Dipped participants will also receive a Certificate. You can also raise sponsorship in aid of the Lions Christmas Charity (Alzheimer’s Uk and Papyrus UK) or do it for your favourite charity. Don’t worry, it’s not a swim – just a dip. Conwy Medieval Torch Lit Parade

This parade starts on Saturday 7th December at 5:45pm from Castle Street in Conwy. This is a family friendly event with the Batala Drummers keeping everyone awake and involved in the parade.

Yes, it’s Countdown to Christmas Day time. How Many?

Today is the 5k Santa Dash on Llandudno Pier. Participants are raising funds for St. David’s Hospice. It kicks off at 10:45 and Peter’s son Joel is taking part. If you get the chance, do go down to the pier to cheer on all the participants who are raising money for such a valuable resource.

BCGBA National Development Strategy

The British Crown Green Bowling Association (BCGBA) has produced a “National Development Strategy 2025-2030“. As Arthur has pre-warned us, it is hoped that all clubs will play their part in the implementation of the strategy. Want to know more? Yesterday’s AGM

Thank you to the many club members who attended yesterday’s AGM. With especial thanks given to David Leech and Dave Holland, who stood down as Treasurer and Secretary respectively. David L is replaced by Alan Thomas.
