Are You Weedy?
Message from John Barrington on behalf of the Maintenance Team: We are going to set up a WhatsApp Group for maintenance work at Vardre, tending to weeds and general tidy-up. If you would like to give some of your time to helping, whether occasionally or more frequently, please send your name and mobile number to John B 07368 407467. The maintenance team looks forward to welcoming members to the group. Thank you.
Volunteers Needed Please
Vardre Deganwy is hosting a cup competition match tomorrow night (Monday 28th April) between Mochdre Park ‘A’ and Llanfairfechan ‘A’, and 2 or 3 more volunteers are sought to help in the clubhouse and/or on the green from 5:00pm.
Our ‘A’ Team has a cup match elsewhere so none of them are available to help. Perhaps you have helped before, but perhaps you haven’t, so this is a great opportunity to help showcase the club to others, providing refreshments or measuring. Please just add your name to the list on the whiteboard in the clubhouse and be there on Monday. Thank you.

Measure for Measure
Maybe Shakespeare used this title because he was a crown green bowler himself. But maybe he didn’t have a Referee on hand to help him with his measuring. However, we are lucky enough to have Arthur Peake, Referee, amongst our ranks, and he very kindly provided training yesterday in the art of measuring in crown green bowls. Click Here for some photos that might well include something that you didn’t know about measuring.
