Wales in Bloom
The Wales in Bloom Award Certificate, and Tommy, arrive in Conwy for a bit of sightseeing before heading back to the Vardre Deganwy bowling club.
Wales in Bloom 2021 Result
Hot off the press from Dave H, Vardre improved in the competition this year by promotion to the “Outstanding” Category, from which the winner is selected. There were 37 entries competing for this “It’s Your Neighbourhood” Category so to finish in the top group was a great achievement. Tommy received the framed Certificate (official photo to follow). In the meantime, here’s a photo to fill that gap:

Good luck today to Tommy and Dave. Enjoy the event. Whatever the outcome, Tommy’s hard work in keeping the green surrounded by brightly coloured flowers all season long has not gone unnoticed by anyone in the Club.

Occasional Item #3 Laws of the Game
Running Jack or Bowl:
| 6.1 | A bowl played while the jack or preceding bowl is in motion shall be forfeited. |
| 6.2 | If a running jack or bowl appears to be in danger of striking a still bowl or jack belonging to another end, such running jack or bowl should be stopped and returned to be replayed. |
Still Jack or Bowl:
| 7.4 | If the jack or any bowl is displaced by the jack or a bowl of any other players, or by any exterior cause, and the players agree as to the spot of replacement, the end must be continued, otherwise the end is void. |
