This training will be held at the Vardre Deganwy Clubhouse on Friday 19th May @ 10:00am for 2.5 hours. It will include First Aid Awareness, CPR and the use of our defibrillator, and will be run by the St. John’s Ambulance. And the best bit is it is completely FREE to participants.
If Club Members are interested in participating, please add your name to the list in the Clubhouse where a few members have already added their names. There is a maximum limit of 15-people – so don’t delay. If there are even more members interested, we will put you on a “waiting list”. Thanks. Marina
Whilst we’re on the subject, is your own First Aid Kit/Box at home still fit for purpose with appropriate contents that are still in date and usable? Might be worth a check before you next use your hammer on your thumb.
Yesterday, Vardre Deganwy’s first ever Ladies League Team made their debut appearance in the Clwydian Ladies League, and won by 7:3. A great start to the 1st campaign. The match of the day (not televised nor any post-match analysis by Gary Lineker) was between Elaine and her opponent that went to the wire with Elaine winning the game.
P.S. The date of Shan’s Art Display to be held in the Clubhouse has been changed to Sunday 11th June. Good really because it gives you an extra week to save up. DaveH
Vardre Deganwy now has a Ladies Team in the Clwydian Ladies League for the first time, and today is the first day of the Season. Our team is off to Rhuddlan, and the Rhuddlan Team is also a new entry to this league. So it will be very interesting to see how the two teams match up. Good luck to Carol B our Captain and her Team.

Our Club’s latest Newsletter is hot off the press despite illness having struck DaveH but, you’ll be relieved to know that, his jokes have not been affected. Click Here to access it and the previous four newsletters.
Yes, another monthly committee meeting has passed us by with lots and lots of info to share courtesy of Ian whilst Dave H is indisposed (get well soon). Click Here for more details on the following items that were discussed:
Just to clarify, if your name is Karen and you join our Club, you will not be required to perform as a bookend when in our Clubhouse. We already have two Karen’s, and they already perform this occasional role perfectly albeit one is a little more laid back about the responsibility.
Our new Clwyd League Team had a marvellous 10:2 win on Thursday night that saw the Team soar into 2nd place in their Division.
Tonight’s the night of some of the Preliminary Rounds of the Colwyn & Llandudno Bowling League’s Cup Competition 2023. The Dwygyfylchi ‘B’ versus Craig y Don ‘C’ match will be held on the Vardre Deganwy Bowling Green, and we are still looking for club members who can help host the event. Members are still needed to measure so please put your name on the list in the Clubhouse to ensure that we provide everything that’s needed to make the evening a success.
