Riddle

Firstly, a reminder, of the Ladies versus Gents this afternoon. Arrive by 1pm for a 1:30pm start.

Eddie: Hey John, you’ll appreciate this one. Why is a barrister like a politician?

John C: Well apart from the obvious of them both being able to talk the hind legs off a donkey, why is a barrister like a politician Eddie?

Eddie: Because his business depends upon his standing at the bar.

Doubles All Round

David L & Diane represented Vardre Bowling Club yesterday in the Pairs Competition (Colwyn & Llandudno Bowling League) and won through to the semi-finals where they were eventually knocked out by a duo from Abergele Bowling Club. Despite their names being called out incorrectly a couple of times over the tannoy system (being called Harry and Meghan was just too far off base) it was a very enjoyable day until the storm hit and the rain set in, just in time for the semi-finals.

It’s “Sustainable Gastronomy Day” Today 👩‍🍳

Yes, today’s the very special day, nominated by the United Nations, for us all to consider our own cuisine and to take into account where the ingredients are from, how the food is grown and how it gets to our markets and eventually to our plates. Click Here to find out more.
