Our Clwydian ‘B’ Team considered battling the elements and managed to hide behind an array of large umbrellas to try and stay dry. However, beaten only by the weather, the match was called off so the team survives to play their semi-final another day. However, in Kinmel Bay, our ‘A’ Team battled through the rainstorm with everyone getting soaked through and cold, and ending up by losing out in their semi-final by 9-points.

Yesterday all three of our Clwydian teams had a very good day. Our ‘A’ Team had a victory to write home about against the 2nd placed team in the league. It was a close win with 5-games each plus the team won the agg by just a single point. This just avoided a potential 5th draw of the season (surely, even the 4-draws the team already has, is a record in a season?).
Our ‘B’ Team excelled themselves with another resounding victory, this time away from home, keeping them firmly at the top of their Division with a healthy bunch of points more than the 2nd placed team.

On Saturday our North Wales Coast ‘A’ Team won a hard fought match against the top team in the Division. It looked unlikely early on but by the end of the day every member of the team had played their part in the 7:5 victory as, with 5-game wins under the belt, the points earned by all 10-members of the team, meant the additional Aggregate 2-points were also assured.
P.S. Our ‘B’ Team was playing in Beaumaris on the same day. Hopefully everyone managed to visit our very own Shan Eccles’ Art Exhibition in the Canolfan Beaumaris Leisure Centre. It’s on until September 2023.
