Yesterday was a day of mixed fortunes in the Quarter Finals of the Cup Competition for our three Clwydian League Teams. The ‘A’ Team had a 7:4 win over its opponent, the ‘B’ Team had to withdraw from its Quarter Final as there were not enough players available to make up a team (thanks to Carol & John B for your support of the ‘A’ Team though) and the ‘C’ Team just lost out to its opponent.
Upcoming
There are a couple of WCGBA events coming up in June and July. The first is the Ladies Doubles competition on 30th June. The second is the Veterans County Bowls Championship 2024 in which a Wales Team will compete on 11th July, to be held in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Click Here to find out more about the latter event.

Summer Solstice Today
Today will be the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and the 2024 Summer Solstice will occur at 21:50pm British Summer Time. So day and night today will be roughly equal in length. The Summer Solstice can occur between the 20th and 22nd June – this year it is on the 20th – when the Sun is directly above the Tropic of Cancer (Source: www.timeanddate.com).
Update
Apologies for no posts for a few days until my provider fixes my broadband problem. Perhaps service will resume on Thursday this week.
