Yesterday was a day of mixed fortunes in the Quarter Finals of the Cup Competition for our three Clwydian League Teams. The ‘A’ Team had a 7:4 win over its opponent, the ‘B’ Team had to withdraw from its Quarter Final as there were not enough players available to make up a team (thanks to Carol & John B for your support of the ‘A’ Team though) and the ‘C’ Team just lost out to its opponent.
There are a couple of WCGBA events coming up in June and July. The first is the Ladies Doubles competition on 30th June. The second is the Veterans County Bowls Championship 2024 in which a Wales Team will compete on 11th July, to be held in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Click Here to find out more about the latter event.
The Premiere of the film ‘Grease’ was held in Leicester Square on 26th June 1973. They all had nearly as much energy as our bowlers!

Congratulations to our Clwyd League (Thursday night) Team for their win two nights ago. The Team is having a successful season in the ‘C’ Division after promotion last season at the first attempt. Just 3-points cover the top 3-clubs with our Team sitting in 2nd place.

Our ‘B’ Team in the North Wales Coast League won their match yesterday by 12 wins to zero. Not only that but 4 of their players had the “Best Result” of the match. Well done everyone.
