Our Ladies are Title Winners

Carol Barrington, Captain of the Vardre Deganwy Ladies Team, holds the Trophy for her team winning the ‘A’ Division Title 2024. In her other hand she supports Shan Eccles who had just played a Quarter, a Semi and the Final match in the Ladies Merits, but she eventually just lost out in the Final. Eddie Eccles was also there to carry the umbrella.

Walled Towns Competition

This annual competition, played between Vardre Deganwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Denbigh bowling clubs, was held yesterday on our green. An overcast day, interspersed with heavy showers, did not soak the players enthusiasm. 18-games of doubles were played, with a short break for a buffet lunch in the clubhouse. The outcome was a win for Beaumaris. Congratulations to all the participants and many thanks to Conwy Town Council for providing the buffet refreshments. One Hundred!

Last night was the last game night of the season for the Clwyd League and our Team, that is in the ‘C’ Division after winning promotion at the end of last season, achieved a very creditable 100-points from all 16-games. The Team missed out on a 3rd place finish by only 3-points! Well done to Captain Nigel and all his team members.

Ladies Aloud

Shan and Diane, at Old Colwyn yesterday, represented the Ladies Team at the Ladies League’s Merits Qualifying rounds. They both won through to the Finals next week.
