Sad News

It is with sadness that the Committee has been informed that Ian Savage, a former member and Treasurer of the Vardre Deganwy Club, died in hospital last week following a short illness. Our condolences to his family and friends.

Occasional Item #11 Rules of the Game

5.11       If a player has taken up position on the footer and a bowl falls from that player’s hand, even by accident, and travels more than 3 metres, from the centre of the footer, in a forward direction, it shall be deemed to have been played.

**Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus** **Happy St. David’s Day**

St. David is the Patron Saint of Wales. He died on 1st March 589. His last words to his followers before his death are thought to have been: “Be joyful, keep the faith and do the little things that you have heard and seen me do.”

New Team

The Deganwy seagulls form a new team. The 4th seagull on the team has already flown off to get the Llandudno goats to help with the hedge trimming round the green. It’s just their way of supporting our Green Team volunteers who work so hard all year round.
