Alan’s ?0th Birthday Party

Very Happy Birthday to Alan (in first photo below as he seems to have escaped the camera at the party!) whose daughter organised a surprise party earlier this week. Here are a few photos of some members of the Vardre Deganwy team at the party and the cake:

In The Heat of the Day

Gay gets in a quick nap

On a sweltering Monday morning, the weekly coaching session this week got off to a slow start with some trainees, and a coach, keeping cool in the Clubhouse. John P might tell you they were talking tactics but ……..

Next 3 Thursdays and the GBBO (Great Bowling Bake Off)

Message from the Club Secretary Dave H: Just to let you all know that there is no friendly game this week but those who turn up should get together and form teams and play amongst yourselves. The following Thursday, 28th, we are playing Rhos on Sea at the Vardre. Please turn up before 1.30pm please.

On Thursday, 4th August it is Girls against Guys. If you want to play put your name on the list on the noticeboard.

Finally, we only have 2 names for the baking competition. If it stays that way I’m afraid it will be postponed until more of you have practiced the art! Let me know if you are in.

Pressed-At-Inn

For Captain Ian’s report from Saturday’s match at Prestatyn Click Here. The roads were nice and clear in both directions travelling to and from the game so school holidays were not yet having an impact on journeys for league matches on Saturdays.

Whether the Weather is Hot

Take care folks over the next few days. Weather warnings abound but keep up to date with the forecast on the BBC website. Please make sure you use some sunscreen, remember your bottle of water and don’t rush around too much on those greens. A hat or parasol is also highly recommended.
