Charity Fund & Fun Bowls on Sunday 30th June
Please come along to support our Charity Day from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. Many prizes have already been donated so thank you to everyone who brought them along. Remember your wallets and purses (well kitted out with cash). But the day is not all about fundraising. Ian has put together a great menu of fun events for you to take part in:
- 1:00pm EVENT OPENS – £2.00 per person entry fee (includes refreshments and bowls events);
- 1:15pm BOLF – game of golf on a bowling green (please do NOT bring your golf clubs);
- 2:00pm BREAK;
- 2:15pm LAST MAN STANDING – get in or get out;
- 3:00pm BREAK;
- 3:15pm PICK ‘N MIX – flat or crown green?
- 4:00pm FREE TIME.
Green closes at 5:00pm.
Aiming High
Yesterday was a day of mixed fortunes in the Quarter Finals of the Cup Competition for our three Clwydian League Teams. The ‘A’ Team had a 7:4 win over its opponent, the ‘B’ Team had to withdraw from its Quarter Final as there were not enough players available to make up a team (thanks to Carol & John B for your support of the ‘A’ Team though) and the ‘C’ Team just lost out to its opponent.
Upcoming
There are a couple of WCGBA events coming up in June and July. The first is the Ladies Doubles competition on 30th June. The second is the Veterans County Bowls Championship 2024 in which a Wales Team will compete on 11th July, to be held in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Click Here to find out more about the latter event.
