Well done, and many thanks, to Keith and Tommy for creating the Club’s new Refreshments’ Platform, just in time for the Colwyn Bowls Festival events. The events run throughout the week at many local bowling clubs including Vardre Deganwy. A very successful trial run was also held yesterday for the hot refreshments to be sold during the events. Well done all – a great collaboration. We look forward to welcoming all the visitors to our friendly and happy Club.

The Finals will be held at Rhos Park Bowling Club on Friday 2nd August. Matches will be held throughout the day and into the evening.

Minnows v Sharks
The top team in the Clwydian Division ‘A’ was the opponent for our own ‘A’ Team in one of the two Division ‘A’ Cup Competition Semi-Finals yesterday. The win would be based on the number of wins and, if it was a draw in the number of games, then the team with the highest aggregate would receive an additional 1-point. So, at 5-games all, the only difference was a few points in the aggregate.
All the TV & Radio news broadcasters and national & local newspapers, would always predictably describe this as our team “crashing out” of the competition. But there was no crash, only the sound of our opponents knees knocking with concern. It was really a very good result for our team as only 2 other teams this season had achieved 5-or-more games wins against Rhos Park ‘A’. Well done team.
