It was honours even at the end of the competition with a 4:4 Draw. However, taking the aggregate totals into consideration, the guys just took the Shield by only 10-points. Well played everyone. Next year ………
A Winning Week

Hosting Day 3 – The Final
The Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Final of the Conwy County Bowling Festival’s “Alun Jones Memorial Trophy” Competition was held on the Vardre Deganwy green last night with the family of Alun Jones in attendance to present the trophy to the Winner Paul Wilson with Callum Wraight as Runner-up. Hosting Day 2
The second of the three days of hosting some of the Conwy Bowling Festival qualifiers was held at Vardre Deganwy crown green yesterday. The successful qualifiers will now play in the finals day later this week. Congratulations again to all the bowlers.






We were also in great crown green bowling company as Callum Wraight, the Shropshire bowler who won the BCGBA 2022 Senior Individual Merit Title, was one of the day’s competitors. Yes – he did get through to the finals.

Hosting Conwy Bowls Festival
Yesterday was Day-One of three-days of competition qualifiers that are being held at the Vardre Deganwy crown green. These are just part of all the events taking place throughout the week in the Conwy Bowls Festival.



There were lots of spectators and all the bowlers fought hard to win one of the 8-qualifying places to compete in the final day of the competition later this week. Congratulations to all.
A Slice of the Best Beats the Rest
6-Entries for the Great Bowling Bake Off yesterday meant a lot of eating for the Judges. Once the Judges could be prised away from gorging on cake, focus turned to the Spider Competition (won by Keith) followed by the round-robin bowling contest (won by Sean and Clarice).






And the Winner was:

Remember that we are hosting three matches as part of the week-long Conwy Bowls Festival. Top players will be at the green on: Monday, 1st August from 12:30pm until 5:00pm; Tuesday 2nd August from 9:30pm until 1:00pm; and, Wednesday 3rd August from 4:30pm until 9:00pm (approximate times). We look forward to welcoming players, officials and spectators.

Events on today:
- Baking Competition Judging (Entrants and Judges only). Entries by 12:45pm with judging at 1:00pm;
- Spider Competition (£1 entry with cash prize) to be held just before 2:00pm followed by Fun Bowls Competition (£2 per entrant) – Entrants to arrive before 1:30pm.
