Winter Ends

The Vardre Deganwy Winter Team played its last match of the Winter yesterday, resulting in a noble 4-each win against the opposing team, yet just missing out on the aggregate points. Well played everyone and full marks for heading up into the hills during the coldest months of the year.

What a Great Match!

What a great match this was last year between Rog, DaveH and Steve. Yes, Rog and Dave both wore red tops; Dave and Steve both wore shorts; Steve and Rog both wore blue: Dave and Steve both had on short, white socks. The great things about the match between the three of them seem endless.

Oh, and the bowls match? That was good too.

With no apology for letting you know now about this annual Christmas event, a light show with interactive fun, to be held as usual in the Magical Woodland in Blakemere Village near Northwich, from 24th November to 24th December 2023. Click on the link to find out more.

Wintering in the Hills

The Winter League season at Betws yn Rhos is drawing to an end, with Vardre Deganwy having just one match left to play on Tuesday. The team fought hard, and played some very strong teams, with Rhona & David L leading the way in terms of aggregate.

Action on Waste

From 6th to 13th March 2023, it will be Food Waste Action Week. Why not take part or sign-up for their newsletter, and use some of their ideas to beat waste.

DaveH mentioned, in the recent Newsletter 52, how we can all help one way or another in ensuring that we improve our recycling at the club. So, whether at home or at the club, visit the Love Food Hate Waste website and pick up some tips rather than sending, or going, to the tip.
