Green Closed 1st August
The green will be closed today – Tuesday 1st August – from 9:00am until midday and then again in the afternoon between about 4:00pm and 5:00pm.
This is for important work to the green to get it in the best possible condition for the rest of the season. So, the good news is that the green will be open between midday and 4:00pm and again after 5:00pm although it might still be a bit tacky after being sprayed. Apologies for the late notice. Ian

Win, Win, Win, Win

The Charity Day at Vardre Deganwy crown green yesterday was very successful. The generosity and hard work of the organisers and volunteers, the magnificent buffet, together with the donations of prizes, was reflected in the total amount raised of £725.00. Congratulations everyone.
The Competition Winners of the day were Jenny (Right) who won the Spider Competition, and Ann, Geoff and Bob (Above) who were the winners of the Bowling Competition. Keep checking back over the next few days for more photographs from the event.
However, ultimately the Real Winners will be Deganwy Primary School children – the beneficiaries of this fundraising event.

Today is the Day
Thoughts for the Day
Here are a couple of Thoughts for the Day:
“The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness”,
Abraham Maslow (American Psychologist)
“We are not thinking machines that feel – we are feeling machines that think”
Antonio Damasio (Neuroscientist and Psychologist)
Remember that it’s the Vardre Deganwy Charity Fun Day Tomorrow 30th July – starting at 1:00pm
Walk the Plank
So you think that our maintenance volunteers are working hard up at the green? Well, you’d be quite right but perhaps you would not realise how they keep motivated. Here’s a little clue:
