Our Own Slave Tirade
Whilst most Club Members are dreaming of next season, our very own green volunteers have been sweating it out on the green. They were not playing bowls but were moving the sacks of top dressing around the edge of the green. Now it’s all there, it’s just waiting for Bobby, our visiting professional greenkeeper. Thanks from all the Members to Ian W & David L, Tommy, John B, Shan, Eddie & Mogsy, for their hard work yesterday and today. Jenny made a cameo appearance. Although everyone was off home when the camera arrived, proof of the hard work can be seen on David L’s hands, knees and toes:

Seeing Double
Chris is in the process of experimentation with his bowling delivery. In the following experiment, he sends both his bowls at the same time so that he only needs to crouch down once during each end rather than twice. In his next experiment, he will send one bowl immediately after the other, with the aim of achieving the same outcome of a single crouch.
News Just In From the Committee
Hot off the press from DaveH’s executive office is Newsletter 59. Packed full of interesting stuff and Dave’s humour (?!!! he’s on very good form).
P.S. Two kind Members of the Club have responded to Ian’s request for assistance at the green on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. If anyone else can help, please do contact Ian. You can use the Contact Us page on this website if you don’t have Ian’s contact details.
