Opening Day 2024

**President Shan Eccles welcomes everyone to the green and performs the opening ceremony**

**The new kitchen, very generously donated by our sponsor, Konrad Roberts of MKM Building Supplies**, **already looks well lived-in as Rosina drums up customers for tea and cake**

Members attended the Opening Day Ceremony for 2024 together with family, friends and also our sponsors. Ian, David L, Keith, Tommy and a variety of others popping in and out to assist, had done the Club proud by maintaining and improving the standard of the green and the premises throughout the winter. So we are now able to avail ourselves of an excellent green to play on and a well kitted-out clubhouse.

Green Opening Today

Calling all Members to come along to see Shan, our President, perform the short opening ceremony on the green for the 2024 season, then you can start playing bowls.

In the meantime, here’s a photo of David L and Ian practising their Synchronised Mower Mowing, also to be performed as part of the opening ceremony. Well, maybe not, but only because they have too much else to do on our behalf.

Untidiness! Not us M’lud

Today is the day to put untidiness behind us and spruce up the clubhouse and premises. See you there from 10am onwards. Only got a minute? We’ll take it.

Nearly There

Work has been going on at the green throughout the winter but, with the Opening Day on Saturday 23rd March almost upon us, most areas of the premises haven’t escaped being tidied, untidied, mown, ripped down, installed, spiked, etc. With everybody else’s help on Friday 22nd March (hopefully), sorting out the inside of the clubhouse as the final preparation for the start of the season should be a breeze. Thanks to our volunteers (below) who have looked after the green and built the new kitchen and got us to this stage of readiness. All fingers accounted for.🖐
