So, three-days of reminders about membership fees is probably enough for now:

Guess What?

It’s Membership Fees Due time. This year’s fee will be £65 with an additional fee of £5 for those who want to register with the BCGBA in order to play in the leagues in 2025. Therefore, it will be a total of £70 for league players or £65 for non-league players.

The club prefers payment by BACS so, if you paid this way last year, then for existing members the bank details are still probably stored in your bank account. Otherwise, pay by cheque or contact the Club Secretary via our Contact Us page on the website.

Cut Off at the End of the Year

Whilst we have been enjoying some unseasonal weather, David L & Ian have been busy up at the green, giving it the last cut of 2024. Looking good.

Flight Grounded

It’s nearly time for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2025. You can sign up now to participate for just one-hour between 24th-26th January. By signing-up you can obtain a guide to help you identify the birds. Help the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds to build a picture of how our garden birds are faring.

How Many?

If you tracked Santa’s progress around the world with us on Christmas Eve, using the NORAD tracker system, then you may be interested to know a couple of facts from his journey:

  • he included a visit to the International Space Station when above the Southern Hemisphere;
  • he delivered to Wales at around 11:40pm our time;
  • by the time he had visited Wales, he had already delivered over 4.5 billion gifts;
  • by the end of Christmas Eve (International Dateline) he had delivered over 8.18 billion gifts.
