HM Coastguard

The 15th January 2022 was the 200th Anniversary of the establishment of HM Coastguard to look after the shores around the UK, to search, rescue and save. Locally, they have a team in Llandudno. If you are a keen listener to the daily Shipping Forecast on the radio (and who isn’t?), you will also know that the Great Orme always gets a mention in the Inshore Waters and Wind Forecast.

Made of Tough Stuff

Yes – it’s back – the Winter Bowling League. Vardre’s team will be playing on 26th January 2022 at 10:30am. Good luck to everyone for the second half of the season.

It’s National Penguin Day

Not only is it National Penguin Day today, it is also National Coffee Break Day (don’t overdo it!).

The 18th January, however, was National Winnie the Pooh Day but we’ll have to wait almost another year to celebrate this day. Get your costumes ready.
