Well Matched
Our club hosted the Ladies Friendly match versus Rhos-on-Sea yesterday afternoon. Unusually for a Ladies Friendly match, the sun shone all afternoon. Luckily there were no casualties suffering from heat stroke. The match was very close with just a 1-point difference between the two teams on the aggregate. Well played everyone.
Tip Top
Under Carol B’s captaincy, our Ladies Clwydian League Team sits atop the ‘A’ Division Table in its first year in the Division. The Team won the Division ‘B’ title last year at its first attempt, so keep going ladies and try to emulate that amazing and unexpected win by Emma Raducanu at the US OpenContinue reading “Tip Top”

Carol Singing in June?
Carol singing is definitely happening after our Clwydian Ladies League Team yesterday managed their 6th win out of 6 with an impressive 10:0 in points. The Team continues to top the Division and with a healthy lead over the second place team. Well done Captain Carol and Team.

The match of the day (not televised nor any post-match analysis by Gary Lineker) was between Elaine and her opponent that went to the wire with ElaineContinue reading “History Made”
1st Game Today
Vardre Deganwy now has a Ladies Team in the Clwydian Ladies League for the first time, and today is the first day of the Season. Our team is off to Rhuddlan, and the Rhuddlan Team is also a new entry to this league. So it will be very interesting to see how the two teamsContinue reading “1st Game Today”
Ladies Friendly
The Ladies Team had a good win yesterday versus the Oval. On a day where it looked like rain – and a very large, slow military aeroplane looked like it was going to land on the green as it flew so low – it turned out to be perfect weather conditions, i.e. warm with goodContinue reading “Ladies Friendly”
Camera Shy
Is it possible that someone could successfully hide behind one of our small score boards? Clarice shows us how.
Ladies
There was a lot of scoring and marking at last Monday’s Ladies match. Plus the compulsory cup of tea.
