Here are just two of our gallant competitors who entered competitions in this year’s Colwyn Bowls Festival 2026. As well as David Leech and Vince Toms above, other entrants were Mark Ball, Miriam Forder, Shan Eccles, Nigel Day, Sue Kirkham and Ann Banks. It’s a great way to pass the week, playing bowlers from all over the UK. Our Club decided against inclusion in the greens used this year due to the very dry season so far.
Thank you to the Club Members who were at the green on Tuesday this week to clean the clubhouse and undertake all the gardening needed to spruce up the premises. A few more people would have eased the burden on the members who did help so, perhaps next time we can encourage a few more people out to help. Is a cup of tea and a biscuit not incentive enough?
The Club is also grateful that members respected our volunteer greenkeepers’ request to let them undertake remedial works and rest the green for a few days this week. Please mind the patches under repair when you get back to practising and socialising. 👏
