Whit Sunday is held 50-days after Easter and in the Christian Church is a festival known as Pentecost. It is a time for Christians to remember the gift of the Holy Spirit. However, schools tend to arrange their half-term breaks at Whitsun with 5-days holiday from studying including a Bank Holiday on Monday.
