If you wander down to the very tip of the Llŷn Peninsula, you will discover Bardsey Island just 2-miles off the coast. There are 12-properties on the island and nine of them are holiday cottages. There is no electricity. The island is owned by the Bardsey Island Trust and is a National Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), a Special Area of Conservation (SAC), a Special Protection Area and it is part of the peninsula’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
