Platinum Jubilee of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth II

Whatever you are doing today – a Street Meet or Party, Barbecue in the garden with family and friends, feet up in front of the TV or listening to the radio (wireless), or perhaps you will be out crown green bowling. No matter what, enjoy your day and just imagine what it must be like to be working in the same role for 70-years and still not having reached retirement age at 96-years old.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Queen Elizabeth II, long may she reign.

This new portrait by Ranald Mackechnie shows The Queen seated in the Victoria Vestibule, Windsor Castle which is part of the private apartments. Captured in the background are the Castle’s Round Tower and the statue of King Charles II which stands in the quadrangle at the Castle. Her Majesty’s outfit is an Angela Kelly coat and dress in a dusky dove blue fabric of wool Charmelaine embellished with pearl and diamante trim around the neckline and cascading down the front of the coat.
