Accession Day today marks the 70th Anniversary of the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II following the death of her father King George VI. She was officially crowned at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. She is the first monarch in history to reach this incredible milestone. Many congratulations to her. Events this year will culminate with a special Bank Holiday Weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2022.
