Quality
Hazel played very well in the Colwyn & Llandudno Merits for our ‘B’ Team yesterday at St. Asaph, winning a great match in the 1st round but just losing out in the 2nd. But what’s this? Hazel and David Leech both took part in the League Merits yesterday but why is he looking so pink?Continue reading “Quality”
Should We Stay or Should We Go?
With the final games of the Colwyn and Llandudno League played on Wednesday night 6th September, our ‘B’ Team was at Home. Meanwhile, the ‘A’ Team just missed out on a draw or a win but finished comfortably in 5th position in the ‘A’ Division. A real achievement in the Team’s first year after returningContinue reading “Should We Stay or Should We Go?”
‘B’ Team Supreme
Our fabulous ‘B’ Team won the Clywdian League Division ‘C’ Title yesterday, and they did it with a very good 7:5 Away win, when they just needed 3-game wins to secure the Title. They finished 12-points ahead of the 2nd placed team. Congratulations to all. Our ‘C’ Team achieved something that is perhaps quite rare,Continue reading “‘B’ Team Supreme”

With just 8-league-matchesContinue reading “Just Add Seasoning”
Going Up
Our Clwydian League ‘B’ Team had another good win yesterday, keeping them at the top of their Division by 10-points, with just one more match to go before the season ends. That means they need to win 3-games in that final match to guarantee winning the Division Title for 2023 as the second placed teamContinue reading “Going Up”
Saturday Bowls Alright for Sighting 🎶
Not quite the same ring as the sort of similarly named Elton John/Bernie Taupin song. However, Captain Ian (‘A’ Team) reminisces about his best laid plans for 2023 (Click Here).
Up, Up and Away
It was a very exciting end to the season last night. Our Team – 2nd place in the Division – needed 4-points from the match, against the 3rd place team, to guarantee 2nd place and promotion into the Division above in 2024. After the first four matches, the score was 2:2. But as the eveningContinue reading “Up, Up and Away”
Walk the Plank
So you think that our maintenance volunteers are working hard up at the green? Well, you’d be quite right but perhaps you would not realise how they keep motivated. Here’s a little clue:
It’s a Match Up
