Friendly Today
A reminder from Dave Holland that the next Friendly match is today at Old Colwyn Bowls Club (OCBC), Bodelwyddan Avenue, Old Colwyn (near Aldi), LL29 9NP. If you’d like to play then be at the OCBC by 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start.
Top of the Table
It is not true that we ran out of tables during last week’s festival as we always had two folding tables to rely, and lean, on: Steve (above Left) and Ian (above Right)!
What You Didn’t See!
No, not the knobbly knees competition (not this time, anyway). This was a “knee operation scar comparison” event, held during the Festival week, between Eddie and Alan. Eddie demonstrates the scar from his knee operation held some years ago. Whilst Alan demonstrates his scars from recent operations on each of his knees.
Royal Welsh Agricultural Show

Friendly
The next Friendly is on Thursday 18th July at home versus Rhos on Sea. If you would like to take part, simply arrive by 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start.

Well Matched
Our club hosted the Ladies Friendly match versus Rhos-on-Sea yesterday afternoon. Unusually for a Ladies Friendly match, the sun shone all afternoon. Luckily there were no casualties suffering from heat stroke. The match was very close with just a 1-point difference between the two teams on the aggregate. Well played everyone.

Frank wanders around the green with an empty wheelbarrow looking for anything to put in it. He was heard to say, “I used to keep it full of four-leafed clovers, but I had to stop when I realised that I shouldn’t push my luck!”
