Walled Towns Competition
This annual competition, played between Vardre Deganwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Denbigh bowling clubs, was held yesterday on our green. An overcast day, interspersed with heavy showers, did not soak the players enthusiasm. 18-games of doubles were played, with a short break for a buffet lunch in the clubhouse. Last night was the last game night of the season for the Clwyd League and our Team, that is in the ‘C’ Division after winning promotion at the end of last season, achieved a very creditable 100-points from all 16-games. Our Clwydian League ‘B’ Team had a superb win yesterday by beating the top team in their Division. It was the only match this season that Fron Park had lost. The score to our Team was 8:4, with 3 of the other players only losing by one-point with their 20:21 results.

Yesterday, Ian & Shan and David L & Diane played in the WCGBA Mixed Pairs Merits held at Rhuddlan. With some inclement weather and awesome opponents, they put up a good fight with excellent support from Eddie, Kath, Hazel, Tommy, Carol & John B. Click Here for some photos from the event.
