Cry Me a River
A superbly run AGM took place yesterday with Marina Roberts, the Club’s Chairman, presiding over the event, supported by Dave Holland, Club Secretary, and David Leech, the Treasurer. 2022/2023 AGM Today
Did you know that Annual General Meetings were first introduced to UK society in the first Companies Act 1862, for the benefit of a company’s shareholders. Although our Club is a non-incorporated sports association, this is also the most effective way of keeping Club Members involved in the running of the Club. A Rare Flower
Here is a sighting of the rare plant known as the Arthurius Flat-Capped Not-Weed, hidden amongst the more usual run-of-the-mill flowers yet equally colourful. This one is in peak condition. Also, when planted in borders, or containers, they can perform for many, many years.
Bowling Detector
Miss Marple gathers all the suspects together to reveal the means, motive and opportunity of the person that she knows has hidden the pencil from the marker.
All Hail
Although Nigel enthusiastically gets in some practice for hailing local buses, it looks like he might need a different type of conveyance if he should step on that bowl! All went well – he missed it.
7-Day Countdown
A reminder to Members that the Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held next Tuesday, 28th November 2023, at Craig y Don Community Centre. Hopefully you are doing the suggested exercises in the meantime so that you are in peak condition to be ready to vote, and otherwise fully participate in the event.
