Well done everyone – another match win and 8 points (6 wins and the aggregate).  Congratulations on your wins Roger D, Tom, Hazel, Roger S, Mary and a special well done to Lynn who despite not playing for many weeks having been unwell, won to 11 against their top place player. These wins were well supported by Margaret’s 18pts towards our winning aggregate.

We now have 128 points and continue in 9th place in the league table.  HOWEVER, the team in 8th place is Eirias Park C who have a bye for the last game of the season on Tuesday so have completed their season with a total of 134 points – you know where I’m going with this don’t you?

  1. League Merits

In case you aren’t aware each League has a Merit Competition – this is hosted by the current President’s Club and in the Clwydian League the final of this competition for all Divisions will be held on Friday 4th October at Eirias Park BC.  2 bowlers with the most wins in League matches from each team qualify and have to take part in the qualifying round for their Division. These are on Friday 27th September; the one for Division D is being held at Dyserth BC starting at 10.00am.  Congratulations to Margaret and Roger Dickinson who having played 19 matches, top our team averages with 15 and 14 wins respectively so are our 2 players who will take part in the merits this season and I’m sure they’d welcome our support so let’s try to go along on 27th.

  1. Don’t forget

Vardre President’s Day – Thursday 26th September – end of season final of the Hornby and the Alpha Cups at 1.00pm then bowling fun for all plus afternoon buffet (paid for from Club funds) hosted by our President, Bob Mason.

ALSO – you can sign up, on the relevant sheets on the noticeboard, for which leagues you’d like to play in next season and any position on the Club Committee, Captains, etc you’re interested in.

Many thanks, have a great week-end and, as always, Happy Bowling
