GOOD NEWS.
Our Wednesday night A team have won promotion to Div. A for next season. Our congratulations to all the players who have played this season and to their captain Tommy Roberts, especially as this is his first year in charge. Well done to you all….Tommy asked me to thank all the members who came on Wednesday to support the team and for the fantastic atmosphere it created. Many thanks…It certainly helped..
The Winter league at Betws yn Rhos…
Tommy & Rhona are hoping to have two teams this season, 2018/19. We need 8 players at least each week plus reserves per team.
If you are interested please put your name down on the sheet that is on the notice board & if we have enough names we will then enter the two teams.

Our first game was on 25th October and although we only lost by a few points, the biggest surprise was the poor condition of the all weather green. It was full of moss and unfortunately Shan slipped badly and hurt her hip. As a result we wrote to Betws Yn Rhos and they have decided to cancel this year’s competition until it is sorted out. I don’t think it will happen quickly so we anticipate that the competition will not be held this season. It is regrettable but the safety of players is the most important thing and playing on that surface, especially if it rains, was asking for trouble. We hope that it does get resolved because a lot of players enjoy playing there. By the way, Shan is not totally fit but getting better.
